Artistic Direction
Mariantònia Oliver. Creator, performer, educator and cultural manager. Artistic director of the Festival and Creation Center since its inception. Since 1989, she has directed her own company, Mariantònia Oliver, presenting her creations in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Since 2000, she has returned to reside in Mallorca, where she is involved in numerous projects focused on education and the promotion of dance in the Balearic Islands. She has served as a jury member for Art Jove, artistic advisor for the Palma Dansa Festival, and is a founding member of the Professional Dance Association of the Balearic Islands. She is a professor at ESADIB (Escola Superior d’Art Dramàtic de les Illes Balears) and at the Conservatori de Palma. Mediator of multiple social projects through an artistic perspective.
Communication and administration
Mireia Rosa Ferriol. Ethnomusicologist, cultural manager and teacher with experience in research, curation and music dissemination. She has a solid track record in coordinating educational and cultural projects (ACA Foundation, Teatre Principal de Palma, Estudi Zero Teatre, Can Balaguer), as well as teaching at the Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands. She has worked in the management and dissemination of musical heritage, given lectures and collaborated in educational and informative programs. With a vocation for research and the transmission of knowledge, she combines knowledge and research of contemporary music and art with extensive experience in interpretation, communication and event organization.
Roma Giacca. Producer and manager of cultural and educational projects. She has six years of experience coordinating projects in Non-Formal Education and Experiential Learning within the Erasmus+ program, collaborating with entities in more than 10 European countries. She holds a degree in Law, a diploma in Cultural Project Management from La Fábrica and Fundación Contemporànea, and is a co-founder of Asociación Dinámica. Additionally, she managed the educational scholarship program for the Calvià City Council in Mallorca for two years.
Production
Margalida Ramis. She is an environmental activist and columnist from Mallorca. She holds a degree in Physics from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), and has worked at the GOB since 2007 as head and spokesperson for the area of territory and natural resources campaigns. She had previously worked in the Sustainability and Territory Research Group of the UIB and had founded Engineering Without Borders in the Islands. For 4 years she has collaborated with EiMa Festival, contributing reflection and coordinating meetings on the most social and scientific topics that matter to the Festival.
Maria Gelabert. She is a secondary school teacher of History and Geography, graduated in History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2011) and holds a PhD in Balearic Prehistory from the University of Kiel (Germany) with the project “Talaiotics as markers of social space” (2017). She has worked in the production, management, administration and communication of the EiMa Festival since June 2018. Her academic interests and activism focus on tangible and intangible heritage and the debate on the transformation and commercialization of the territory that the island of Mallorca is experiencing.
