I see this Ball Parlat as a celebration, a show/party, where I can share my experiences with the audience by my side, dancing with me, accompanying me in dancing, which is what I have done the most throughout my life. Hence the title of the piece: Celebration. A celebration of 60 years dancing and moving around the performing arts.

Montse Colomé
I was born in Barcelona in February 1956. My mother's family were all dancers and my brother was a musician, diplomat and wrote several books on dance. This led my family environment to take me to dance at the age of 5.
I have a diploma in Spanish dance from the Institut del Teatre. In 1979 I flew to New York where I stayed for two years at the Alvin Ailey school, encouraged by my teacher Anna Maleras. Upon returning from the United States, I developed my professional life towards teaching.
And it was in 1986 that I began to enter the world of entertainment with Carles Santos and Comediants, both as a performer and choreographer, traveling and performing in festivals all over the world.
It is also through Comediants that I begin to choreograph for large-scale shows: Barcelona 92 Olympic Games, Seville Expo 92, Lisbon Expo 98 and a long list of others.
Around 1998 I started working as a choreographer and assistant director in the world of opera and text theatre.
I have worked for the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Opera de Paris, Opera de Lyon, Welsh National Opera, Piccolo de Milan, Capitol de Toulouse and with directors such as Joan Font, Lluis Pasqual, Josep Maria Mestres, George Lavaudant, Esteve Ferrer, Pep Pla, Ramón Simón, Luvier Hoba, Xavier Hoba, Lyon Albertí, Josep Maria Pou.
My latest works have been the choreography of the musical comedy The Addams Family and El Jovencito Frankenstein by Letsgo Company. The floral games of Canprosa, La rambla de les floristes, Justícia and L’héroe for the TNC.
In recent years I have returned to the stage dancing pieces by Carles Salas, Germana Civera, Toni Jodar and Arthur Rosenfeld. My latest works as a performer have been Rèquiem Nocturn by Pere Faura, El més bonic que podem fer with the Sixto Paz production company and Moriu-vos by the Cultura i Conflicte production company, a show premiered at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.
I am a founding member of the Barcelona creation factory, La Caldera-Les Corts.
